Why 11 and not 13
The rating and the count are Tripadvisor’s, not ours — you can see them on their profile. Of those 13 reviews we deliberately leave two out.
One is signed by the company’s owner. A review of yourself is not social proof: it is advertising under another name, and it does not go here even though it stays on the profile. The other we had transcribed with its wording tidied up — someone removed a phrase that read oddly — and we would rather pull it than keep publishing a quote the traveller did not write.
We are a small company and the number shows it. Thirteen reviews do not compete with a wholesaler’s fifteen thousand, and we are not going to pretend otherwise: what we can offer is that every one we publish is true and signed by somebody real.
