Can I get a car seat for my Cancun airport transfer?

Short answer

Yes. infant, child, booster seats are free on request, on every route and in both vehicles — not an add-on and not "subject to availability".

They are installed before your pickup, not handed to you at the kerb. All we need is the age of each child when you book, so the right type is fitted before your driver leaves for the airport.

One thing that surprises people: children and babies count as passengers, because each one occupies a seat. Count them when you pick the vehicle, or the van you booked may be one seat short.

Other people's rules change. This guide says how current its information is so you can judge it — and so we know when to check it again.

What to tell us when you book

The ages. That is it — from the age we know which of the infant, child, booster options to fit. "A car seat, please" is not enough, because those are three different seats and only one of them is right for your child.

Add it in the booking notes along with anything else that changes the vehicle: a stroller, a travel cot, more luggage than usual. It is much easier to get right the day before than at the terminal.

Why it is free

Because charging for it would be charging for the thing that makes the ride legal and sane to do with a child. Our fare is flat per vehicle and all-in, and the seat is part of that, like the taxes and the tolls.

It also means the price you were quoted is the price with the seat in it. Nothing gets added when you arrive — your driver collects nothing at the kerb.

What we are not going to tell you

We are not publishing age, weight or height thresholds, and we are not going to summarise Mexican child-restraint rules for you. We have no current source we can cite, and getting a threshold wrong on a page about child safety is not a copy mistake.

Tell us the ages and let the people who fit these seats every day choose the type. If you have a specific requirement — a seat you trust, a medical need, a particular model — message us on WhatsApp before booking so we can tell you honestly whether we can meet it.

Travelling with children, the practical parts

The vehicle is yours, so there is no sharing the ride and no waiting for a shuttle to fill up. Your driver tracks the flight and waits if you land late — which with children is the difference between an inconvenience and a problem.

Free cancellation up to 24 hours before pickup, if plans change.

Other questions about this

  • Do you charge for a car seat?

No. infant, child, booster seats are free on request, on every route and in both vehicles. The rate you see already includes it.

  • Do I need to book the car seat in advance?

Yes — tell us the age of each child when you book. The seat is fitted before your driver leaves for the airport, so it needs to be known in advance rather than asked for on arrival.

  • Does my baby count as a passenger?

Yes. Children and babies occupy a seat, so they count toward the vehicle’s capacity. Include them when you choose between the van and the Elite SUV.

  • Can I bring my own car seat instead?

Message us on WhatsApp before booking and we will tell you what is workable for your vehicle and your group. We would rather answer that honestly beforehand than have you find out at the terminal.

Where each fact comes from

Every third-party fact on this page, with where it came from and when.

  • The child-seat policy — free, installed, the three types, requested by age at booking — is this site’s own, and the same one the home FAQ, every destination page and the company page publish.
  • This guide publishes **no** age, weight or height thresholds and does not summarise Mexican child-restraint regulations: we have no current source to cite.
  • Vehicle capacities, the free cancellation window and our fares come from this site’s data, current as of September 2026.
